Growing up in Philadelphia, PA, Jarret Janako is a graduate of Temple University. He holds a degree in Strategic & Organizational Communications, and Theatre.

Jarret Janako has been seen on TV in Forensic Files (TruTV), The Game (BET), Law & Order: SVU (NBC), and The Wire (HBO). His films include HBO's Spitting in the Window; ABC's FAMS; and BET's Harlem Renaissance Fab 5. "Fences," "For Black Boys," "La Familia," and The Dutchman" are among the many stage productions in which he's performed. And he is featured in Beyonce's "Best Thing I Never Had" and Monica's "Until Its Gone" music videos in key roles, as well as numerous commercials (regional and nationwide).

Inspired by such talented artists as Cuba Gooding, Jr., Idris Elba, Vivica A. Fox, Samuel L. Jackson, Tyler Perry, Denzel Washington, and Brian White, as well as former next door neighbor, actress and humanitarian Karen Malina White
